The 2026 FFU Underground season starts 6/9, which is also Wheelboard Day, and has more segments to score points on than the previous 2 seasons. Riders will still only be using the points from their top 7 segments. Riders must have times logged on atleast 7 segments to be awarded the FFU'26 Badge for your Ride Hermes profile. Any point ties by riders will automatically have the total times of shared segments ridden by both riders, and the rider with the lower combined time wins the tiebreaker. This season is starting later than past years, so all segments are in Nevada City & Truckee where the temperatures will be much cooler during the summer. This season has many new segments that haven't been ridden much, if at all, and should get us out in the woods exploring these amazing trails. The segments in Nevada City have very limited cellular service, so its a good idea to scout these out before heading up the mountain. Riders will likely have to wait until getting down into town to upload their rides and check their times. Could be possible to stop by the Old 5 Mile House for some grub or a beer, and also use their wifi and recharge a board.
Get geared up & head on up into the mountains to be stoked riding some of the best fast & flowy segments in our area. This season ends September 30th, so get out there sooner than later, bc these trails are probably in their best conditions right now before they get torn up. All you have to do to get on the leaderboard is to log rides on segments in the FFU'26 season on the Ride Hermes app. We'll see whos the fastest around this season in a few months!
