Y2K will probably make you crash if you aren't careful. While it is a fun, fast flowy trail that is entirely rollable the defining feature is quite a few jumps shaped like the backside of a table top. If you slow down, they can be ridden down slowly and safely. However, taken with speed, these can very easily catch you out for not sending hard enough and give you a gnarly tailslide. Taken at full speed and these turn into amazing several foot drops. Many of the landings are good, some are less good. I highly recommend not just taking a lap to familiarize yourself with the trail, but also taking your time to practice and learn the features so you know which to air and how hard to send them. Be aware while practicing that this is a downhill MTB only trail and these guys can really cook down this one.
A fast, flowy trail with some nice topography. The
Start Point
Starts from east side of the paved road, across from the entrance to Boundary and Can't Be Done and just to the north of the entrance to Moto Alley
End Point
This ends at the right hand curve near the start of the uphill that takes you back to the Lower Carpenter Bypass Trailhead. You can ride up the road (careful, people come down FAST for such a narrow road) or take a right off the paved road just above the trail head and climb up Egress > NRA > Northridge > Boundary which will return you to the start of Y2K
Directions from Parking to Trail
Ride back to the paved road and ride north on it till you reach the entrance to Y2K. For a more fun ride, take Moto Alley which follows the paved road on the east side and comes out just to the south of the entrace to Y2k.
