The most popular RideHermes segment in the Czech Republic. Great, long, flowy trail with some tabletops (no need to jump) and pump segments. Home to the Pilsner Float Race, organised by local crew.
The trail crosses other low-traffic paths. All crossings have wooden gates, so everyone has to slow down anyway. Good visibility at those crossings - so it does not interfere with race times, and meeting someone there is very rare.
Note that onewheels are not included in the rules on the sign and technically prohibited there. :( Pilsner Float Race is organised with city approval, and onewheel are tolerated. Occasionally, random Karren can appear - please be polite, take a short break and proceed having fun :)
Start and Finish
Start Point
Actual segment starts right before the first turn. Usual starting point is on the little raised platform before the wooden gate. Pilsner Float Race finals start back on the gravel road and everyone starts the segment with significant speed. Give yourself longer a rolling start if you are going for fast time.
End Point
Segment ends a bit before the last wooden zig-zag gate. There should be no need to keep moving after you cross it.
Directions from Parking
Follow the dirt road until it opens up. You will see a wooden start gate on the right at the tree line.
The finish line in Hermes was somewhere between the trail end gate and the asphalt path. On 2025-05-26, I moved it to the end gate. This will ensure that more times get registered correctly when people stop right after the gate.
